By requesting a quote, commissioning work, or otherwise engaging with my services (“Services”), you (“Client”) agree to the following Terms of Service (“Terms”). These Terms apply once a commission is accepted and a deposit is paid. The version in effect at the time your deposit is received will govern your commission.
⸻
1. General Conditions
The Client is responsible for reviewing these Terms prior to submitting any request or deposit.
Communication via email, messaging platforms, or social media constitutes a binding agreement.
I reserve the right to decline any commission request, including but not limited to:
(a) licensed or copyrighted characters,
(b) inadequate or unclear reference material,
(c) individuals previously blacklisted,
(d) any character or reference depicting people under 18 years old,
(e) no nudity or sexual content, if applicable.
⸻
2. Quotes
Quotes are estimates only and do not guarantee final costs.
Accurate quotes require clear and complete character references (minimum 2–3 views).
Complex designs may require a surcharge.
Quotes are valid for four (4) months from the date of issuance.
If a 40 percent deposit is not received within the validity period, pricing may change.
Once a deposit is paid, the quoted price becomes fixed unless the Client later requests design changes (see Section 5).
Restrictions for concept art/character sheets:
– no shading
– no clothing
– no unagreed-upon colors
⸻
3. Eligibility
Clients must be 18 years of age or older to commission. Proof of age may be required.
Parents or legal guardians may commission on behalf of a minor and assume full financial and legal responsibility.
⸻
4. Measurements and Duct Tape Dummies (DTDs)
A properly constructed DTD is required for full suit or partial-suit commissions.
When commissioning a bodysuit, the DTD must cover the neck, wrists, and ankles.
Clients must use painters’ coveralls and strong duct tape.
The fit and accuracy of the suit depend on the accuracy of the DTD.
I am not responsible for fit issues caused by inaccurate DTDs. Corrections may incur additional fees.
If the DTD rips during stuffing, the Client must create and send a new one.
⸻
5. Design Approval and Changes
Design changes may be requested prior to the start of work and before materials are purchased.
Once materials are ordered or work has begun, design changes may not be possible.
If additional materials or time are required, the price will increase.
Any change that increases complexity, materials, or labor will receive a revised price.
The Client must confirm all final designs in writing before work begins.
One round of minor changes is included; additional changes incur fees.
⸻
6. Payment Terms
A 40 percent non-refundable deposit is required to secure a queue slot and cover initial materials.
The deposit is applied toward the total cost but is non-refundable under any circumstance.
Accepted payment methods: Bank Transfer, Zelle, PayPal.
Payment plans are available for commissions over $1,000 USD.
Paid within 4 to 6 months.
Work does not begin until the deposit is received.
The final product will not ship until the remaining balance and shipping costs are paid in full.
Clients are responsible for all bank transfer or platform fees.
⸻
7. Work in Progress (WIP)
WIP updates may be shared via email or social media.
Fur and fabric colors will be matched as closely as possible to available materials.
WIPs are for approval purposes and do not grant the right to request major revisions unless previously agreed upon.
I use a Trello board for WIP organization; Clients will receive access.
⸻
8. Completion Timeline
Completion dates are estimates only and cannot be guaranteed.
Delays may occur due to illness, equipment failure, supply shortages, or unforeseen circumstances.
Quality will not be compromised to meet a deadline.
Clients will be notified of significant delays.
⸻
9. Shipping
Shipping costs, including insurance, are the responsibility of the Client.
I reserve the right to select the shipping method and carrier.
I am not responsible for loss or damage once the package has been transferred to the carrier.
Clients are responsible for customs duties, taxes, or import fees.
Items will not ship until the remaining balance and shipping fees are paid.
If the product itself is damaged due to courier handling, repairs will be free for 60 days. Shipping the item back is the Client’s responsibility.
Incorrect or incomplete addresses may result in additional shipping fees that the Client must pay.
⸻
10. Repairs
I offer free repairs for 90 days for defects caused by my workmanship.
After 90 days, repairs incur fees based on labor and materials.
Damage caused by neglect, improper care, or third-party modification is not covered.
I reserve the right to refuse repairs if the item is:
(a) extremely dirty,
(b) smelly,
(c) unhygienic.
If refused, the Client must pay return shipping.
If needed, inspection fees or cleaning fees may apply.
A cleaning fee of $50 may be added for heavily soiled items.
The Client is responsible for all shipping costs associated with repairs.
⸻
11. Cancellation Policy
Clients may cancel at any time before paying the deposit without penalty.
Once any portion of the deposit is paid, it becomes non-refundable.
I may cancel a commission for reasons including:
(a) harassment, abuse, or inappropriate behavior,
(b) failure to follow the agreed payment schedule,
(c) unreasonable design-change demands,
(d) violation of these Terms.
If I cancel for these reasons, the deposit is forfeited.
I reserve the right to finish and sell any completed work to recover costs if the Client is unresponsive with no communication for 30 days or defaults on payments.
⸻
12. Warranty
I offer a 90-day limited warranty covering defects resulting from my craftsmanship.
The warranty does not cover:
(a) normal wear and tear,
(b) misuse or neglect,
(c) environmental damage,
(d) improper cleaning or storage,
(e) alteration by third parties.
Clients must contact me before shipping warranty items.
⸻
13. Contract and Recordkeeping
Written agreements, including emails and digital messages, form binding terms between both parties.
I maintain digital records of all commission communications. Clients are encouraged to do the same.
⸻
14. Acceptance of Terms
By paying a deposit or commissioning work, the Client acknowledges they have read, understood, and agreed to all Terms in this document.
Commission slots are non-transferable.
Characters must match the approved reference sheet. Upgrading or changing the character entirely requires new approval and may incur additional costs.
